AccuQuilt Class Quilt!

On the Sunday of the quilt retreat weekend, Tricia and I had to leave a little early so we could make it to Woodridge to take a class we had signed up for months ago. It was an AccuQuilt Club class using the hexagon and triangle dies. I had these music themed layer cakes in my stash for 2 years and brought them along knowing I needed 60 10” squares to work with. We made a stop at Quilting in the Valley during our weekend and I got some coordinating fabric for the background triangles and the pretty backing fabric.

I fell in love with the AccuQuilt this day. I had purchased one while on the ShopHop but hadn’t used it yet. Now it has a place of honor in my new studio.

This quilt was my Christmas gift for Gina. She loved it. And I loved the pattern and how easy it was to line everything up just right. I’ll definitely purchase this die, but the good thing about the class is that you don’t have to have an AccuQuilt at home, everyone had plenty of time to cut all the pieces for their quilt during the class time even taking turns with just 2 machines for all of us. Thumbs up for Quilter’s Quest and I’m looking forward to seeing their new location when they move the store in March! I think we’ll be back for more classes!
