Ok I made it back from my 6-day quilting retreat with some awesome guild friends. This was just the break that I needed! I brought my Bargello quilt to work on that I started back in March. I got a lot done, but still have a ways to go.
I was multi-tasking the whole week though. Brought along both sewing machines so I could embroider while sewing. Ended up making 21 reading themed mug rugs for my Mom to give to her book club friends for their Summer Soirée meeting coming up later this month.
I also made an apron with chicken fabric that I found while we visited 2 local quilt shops. I didn’t feel like I was very productive as all my super-talented friends were creating so many amazing quilts while I plugged away at mine, but I’m thrilled with what I did get done. I was inspired and motivated by all the ladies there! I think I have about 14 vertical rows left to finish the Bargello…maybe next retreat it’ll get done! Now that I’m back home, it’s back to work on customer quilts. T-shirt quilts are on deck.
