Sunday, I took a class with Tricia at Quilter’s Quest in Woodridge. It was another AccuQuilt class, and it just so happened to be using the churndash die that I used for my Avocado quilt. But look how different they ended up! The other was set on point, and this one has adorable little hearts in the middle and nice wide sashing strips in between. This was SEW much fun!
During the 4-hour class our goal was to complete one block so we would know what to do when we got home. Tricia says I’m an overachiever…but she also burned the table with her mini iron! I did my one block and then started chain piecing for the rest. When I got home, I was motivated to keep working. Monday I spent most of the day in the studio finishing up the quilt. Tuesday it was on the long arm & I finished it up Wednesday night! Well not the binding yet. I love taking quilt classes & learning new techniques! I love meeting other quilters and seeing their fabric selections. And I really love the motivation a new project breathes into me.
Update: Quilt was bound on Friday! Less than a week - wahoo!
