Teens can quilt, too!

It’s been busy, busy, busy at Mimi's Nest! I’m so excited to get to quilt all day long, it definitely doesn’t feel like “work!” I have 3 finished quilts ready for delivery, one on the long arm right now, and two more waiting in the wings! One t-shirt quilt in progress on the quilt wall and another one coming in later this week. I have one commission that I need to get started on (for a very patient friend!) and a list of personal quilts that I’d like to work on that’s a mile long. And I’m loving every minute of it!

First up to share is a t-shirt quilt made from baby clothes. If you remember back before Christmas, I shared a story about an awesome teenage boy who made a t-shirt quilt for a friend that I had the privilege to quilt for them. Well he’s at it again with his new sewing machine! This quilt is for his nephew. I have yet to meet this talented quilt artist, but his mother is a delight, I am always happy to make new friends! In addition to quilting, I added the binding to this one. I’m happy to do that, we had lots of extra backing fabric to use.
