Back in October of 2022, I went to TX with a group of scrapbooking friends for a retreat. We've been friends for 20+ years and some of us (me included) rarely (if ever) scrapbook anymore. But we still retreat every year anyway! And a few of us are now avid quilters & the retreat house we booked was designed for quilting retreats! There were cutting tables, ironing stations, design walls, everything you could think of...even a sewing machine for me to rent for the weekend since I was flying in. We had the best time! One day while there, we did a little shop hop of local stores and dragged a few non-quilters with us. As expected, they loved the quilt shops as much as the rest of us! We might have a few more converts next year...welcome (and press) to the dark side! All this to say, my friend Janelle fell in love with this sunflower panel and asked if I would make her something with it. And so I did. 🥰
